On Recess

On Friday, I drove eight hours through a blinding snowstorm to get to Spokane. On Sunday, I drove five hours to Montana to pick up Sloane. Attended a CLE all day Monday. Drove five hours back to Spokane yesterday. Got Sloane back into her routine today, and Kyle is on a work trip, so I am solo parenting.

I need a nap. I need to snuggle my child. I need to clean up this house that is one step above fraternity row house for cleanliness. I need to go on a walk with my neglected pup.

I am on recess until Monday.

Unclench your jaw. Put down your phone. Take a deep breath.
