Recently, I’ve been looking through old Pinterest boards for outfit inspiration. Some of the looks need updating, but there’s always something worth recreating — a texture, a color palette, a vibe. For today’s looks, I recreated an outfit from 2015 that mixes pink pants with neutrals for a spring transition style.

Skinny pants are no longer for me. Even if the winds shift back, I will not return. So I remade this look with wider leg pants. Also, I modernized the bubble gum pink with darker hues.
Trench // Sweater // Pants // Shoes // Bag // Earrings
I chose a fuchsia pant for the pale tan combination. If you want a lighter pink trouser, Ann Taylor has a traditional pink option. These pants from Express are a nice option for spring. They’re comfortable, bright, and fun. I own them in black and navy, highly recommend, especially in this price point. City Chic has a medium pink pant in plus-size.
Everlane is making so many fabulous basics right now. This pale oatmeal alpaca sweater is awesome. They also make this color in a cotton merino crewneck. Add this great trench from J.Crew or this drapey one from Everlane. If you want something lighter wait, try this pointelle sweater from BR.
For accessories, I added these Jenny Bird earrings. They’re sizable, but hollow to keep the weight down. For a smaller hoop, I like this option from J.Crew. The bag is the System Tote from Cuyana, which you can customize to your needs.
For styling, I would wear a bit of extra contour on my cheeks and a darker brow pomade. You need extra definition to balance the pale sweater.
Jacket // Top // Pants // Shoes // Backpack // Necklace
I loved the softer rose hue of these Varley pants. It’s a more wearable pink for those who aren’t prone to pastels or brights. Banana Republic has a similar color in linen for summer and AG makes it in a jean.
The darker top and jacket balance the softer pant. This color was big for fall/winter, but it’s a sophisticated way to balance lighter pastels like lavender, pale blue, and pinks. I chose this quilted jacket and top from H&M in a deep brown. If chocolate brown isn’t for you, I also considered olive as a balancing neutral.
Carrying the leopard through, I chose these M.Gemi sneakers. Adidas also has a chic option.
To finish the look, I added a Radley backpack. If that’s not your style, try this woven crossbody. I also added this egret necklace from Jenny Bird. It’s delicate and unique.
For styling, I would add some cream blush to my cheeks. I would also make sure to layer on the mascara. Also, with a boxier jacket, wearing your hair up can sometimes throw off the proportions. I recommend wearing it down.
