Today is the 33rd Legislative Day in Washington. The time has both flown by, and dragged. I’m barely sleeping. I grind my teeth so hard at night that my jaw hurts when I wake. Caffeine is a food group. And I have miles to go before I sleep, leagues before I can see Sloane again.
Before I had a child, all I wanted to do was work. All I cared about was work. But now, the highlight of my day is when she lays down for her nap and I can watch her on the camera while she sleeps. Just 27 more days. Then, I will have an entire summer to have adventures with her.
Just count it down.
