The Find: My New Work Bag

Nov 28, 2025

In 2010 (?), when this blog was still in its infancy, I bought a Lo & Sons OMG bag. I carried it every day for years. When they updated the style in 2019, I bought the new version as well. I still carry it today. Few brands have the utility, the style and the durability to last that long as a daily driver.

Given my longterm relationship with the brand, when Lo & Sons offered to send me one of their Trinity bags, I accepted with glee.

When it arrived, it was even better than I imagined. Like my other Lo & Sons bags, the function is impeccable. The thoughtful design has pockets and storage in all the right places. And it might be the best work bag that I’ve seen in decades.

The bag comes in three colors — black, camel and navy. The details are minimal, classic with a not-too-yellow gold hardware.

The bag also comes in two sizes. Lo & Sons gifted me the small. It’s like a large purse. Would easily hold a 13″ laptop and all of your essentials without being too big to carry to drinks after work. It’s a good size if you find most other work bags too big.

However, because I carry two laptops, it’s the small isn’t quite big enough for me. So I am gifting the small size to my Mom, and I purchased the large with my own money. Lo & Sons has a discount code for Black Friday, at 20% off the bag costs <$300 before tax. You can spend so much more and get so much less.

If you’re in the market for a new bag, don’t miss this one. It looks sleek and simple. Wouldn’t be out of place in a courtroom, would be very useful for a more casual professional as well.

Some reviews I saw online said the drop of the straps isn’t enough to comfortably wear on your shoulder and that the longer strap you can attach is pretty thin. Do you plan to wear it on your shoulder?

Would it easily fit a 16 inch Macbook Pro?

I don’t know if it would fit a 16″. The strap is a bit thin, but I usually replace the straps with wider ones I buy on Amazon anyway.
